Syria 634 CE
It is 632 CE and Abu Bakr has sent us to Syria with commander Khalid Bin Sa’id, we stayed near the Syrian Border, and our plan was not to immediately invade but to put up our defense. Syria was wanted for many reasons, the great wealth Syria contained but we also wanted to continue Islamic expansion. Commander Khalid Bin Sa’id asked Abu Bakr if we could go in to strike and he said yes. It became the beginning of many battles with the Romans. We had conquered far until we hit the Dead Sea. As the Romans realized we were here to stay, they plotted a plan to trap us, they instead got Commander Khalid Bin Sa'id's son. This resulted in extreme devastation for our commander.

We were then under the command of ‘Ikrimah bin Abu Jahl. Under Ikrimah many soldiers joined us, we were one of 4 armies that marched up on the bank of Yarmuk. After the combining of many soldiers, we lay in wait for two months. There was no threat from either side, it was silent. Khalid Bin Sa’id had joined us again he lifted our spirits and got us ready for war, with our united Islamic armies there wasn’t much to be afraid of. We know what we are capable of. The fight was long and violent. Many suffered on both sides. We had also found out about Abu Bakr's death during this time, a toll was taken on the community, yet we continued to fight. The enemy was outnumbered, many fell at the Battle of Yarmuk but in the end we won. We were able to conquer Jordan then Damascus, Syria was able to become an Islamic country
